Beatstar on iPhone: where it actually stands

You cannot download Beatstar on an iPhone. Not "it is hard to find" — it is not on the App Store, and the servers it needed were switched off permanently on 31 October 2025. If a download page still lists it, that page has not been updated.

Checked against Apple's US storefront on 6 October 2026.

Why download sites still show it

Software directories keep pages for apps long after they stop existing, because a page that ranks is worth keeping even when its subject is gone. Several still carry a Beatstar page aimed at iPhone. There is no working download behind any of them, and some of the "alternatives" they recommend are not rhythm games at all — one popular list has suggested desktop software for learning piano from MIDI files.

If Beatstar is still on your phone

SituationWhat is true
The app opens but never gets past loadingExpected. It is trying to reach servers that do not exist.
Can I play the songs offline? No. The catalogue was licensed, not bundled to keep.
Should I delete it?Your call, but note it is one-way: it is not on the store, so you cannot reinstall it. Some people keep the icon. It does nothing.
Will offloading or restoring a backup help? No. Neither brings back a server.
