Boilerplate
“1 Beat: Hit Music Game” is a four-lane rhythm game for iPhone and Android. Chart-topping tracks fall down four lanes and you tap, hold, and swipe them in time. It is free to play. Its distinguishing design decision is the fourth lane: Beatstar, the game most of its audience comes from, played on three, and one more lane gives charts room for patterns that three lanes cannot hold. Judgement is read from the touch event rather than the rendered frame, and audio offset is stored separately for every output device.
Assets
Screenshots, key art, and a logo pack are not available yet — the game is still in development and we would rather show nothing than show mock-ups that misrepresent what it looks like. They will be published on this page as soon as there is something real to show.
Positioning, stated plainly
Beatstar's servers shut down permanently on 31 October 2025, and a sizeable audience has been looking for somewhere to go since. 1 Beat is being made for that audience. We are not a continuation of Beatstar, we have no connection to the people who made it, and we do not distribute it.
